PAINTING EXHIBITION BY BHARAT THAKUR
FROM RAISON, KULLU, 26 November 2006

Inauguration of the exhibition

On 26th November 2006 one more painting exhibition has been inaugurated by the Executive Director of the Trust at the Urusvati Exhibition hall – young self thought painter from Raison, Kullu distt. - Bharat Thakur – exhibited his paintings. His main subject was the natural scenery – the beauty of the surrounding hills and mountains, mighty slopes, covered with pure white snow, or rich green valleys through which the bubbling river makes its way, and huge Himalayan trees covering the slopes. To make these contrasts more vivid, he is sometimes painting in black and white, or blue and white.

Another subject depicted by Bharat Thakur, was rather philosophical, and explaining his paintings, he has shown his talent of an orator – he narrated the scene from the Bhagavadgita, the victory of Life over the all consuming Death…

All students of the Art College present at the exhibition listened to him very attentively.
