'EARLY RELIGIOUS ARCHITECTURE IN RUSSIA' - PHOTO EXHIBITION BY TROFIM GRITSENKO, MOSCOW, RUSSIA

Mr Trofim Gritsenko and Dr A.Adamkova, Executive Director of the Trust inaugurate the exhibition

First exhibition in the new 2008th year has been inaugurated at the Modern Art Exhibition Hall on 22nd February, matching the end of the winter and beginning of the cultural life at our Trust.

Mr Trofim Gritsenko from Russia, professional architect currently working in Moscow, presented the exhibition of photographs taken by himself in different places of Russia where most ancient churches are situated. His aim was to show in photos beginning of the architectural style of the Russian Orthodox Churches and its development, entry of new elements and architectural complexities throughout the centuries. Some of the most beautiful and well known Russian Churches were photographed by him and shown at the exhibition. His lucid professional explanation was appreciated by the guests of the exhibition.
