Jaswant Singh Rajpurohit with his painting |
On Sunday 10th June painting exhibition of Jaswant Singh Rajpurohit from Rajasthan has been inaugurated by honorable Agriculture Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sh.R.K.Gaur. In the beginning, students of the Art College welcomed the Minister with classical and folk songs, and then all went up to the Urusvati Exhibition Hall where the exhibition has been inaugurated.
All guests appreciated the paintings of J.Singh who explained his art in a very poetic way.
He says:
“As an artist does the work to change the perspective from the height, either it may be any hill station or ancient wall of a fort or multi-storied building, when I look downwards…the land appears like a large canvas/space… the paths dividing the space, colours overlapping each other…in all. Nature and man made landscapes and environment because of distance from height presents abstract aesthetical forms and create wonderful feelings.
The paths dividing the space always fascinated me, either due to aesthetical views or the philosophical sense embedded in them. Nature has blessed us with colours…forms…the balance in nature is so determined that it could inspire us throughout whole life. But it is only possible when the man does not destroy it entirely.
Very often, I sit in the studio doing my job, take my heart to heights and get the imaginable forms which give the inspiration of colourful friendship. Painting is not merely filling colours but it is playing with colours.
The creation and life…the basic foundation of both is balance, harmony and rhythm. Aesthetic sense of colours, lines, forms and texture provide me to Natural Art.
May this world of abstract Art of colours, forms and texture give you coolness and energy“.
