Far away Austria has made its maiden way to the Modern Art Gallery of the International Roerich Memorial Trust on 14th June through its Art representative. Natascha Dorflinger's solo exhibition titled Impressions of the High Himalayas' was inaugurated by the Executive Director of the Trust amidst the hall full of Art College students and guests of the show.

Using oil pastels and water colors in a most creative way, Austrian artist depicted in her paintings high mountains of Ladakh and different Buddhist monasteries. But depiction of these is rather an artistic reflection and emotional perception of seen and experienced reality. Precisely in this lies the attraction and magnet of Natascha's art. Her paintings are the expressions of her feelings - artists speaks to the Nature, and the mighty Nature answers. Often one can find human faces hidden in the images and outlines of the hills and mountains Natascha paints. Harmonious choice of bright colors adds to the overall power of the paintings.
