On 10th July the IRMT guests and students from Helena Roerich Art College participated at the inauguration of the new painting exhibition titled “Simplicity”. It was presented by young Russian artist Rada.
Rada (Daria Raldugina) is a self-taught artist from Russia. Her desire to work professionally in the field of Art has led her to study drawing, painting and graphics. Now she is an artist working in mixed media. Although she loves art intuitively, she has an insatiable curiosity about "why" and "how" behind it. She likes to experiment with new materials, forms and colors. Working as a free-lance artist she has a lot of ideas and reflects them in her symbolic paintings.
The series “Simplicity” was created after her travelling in North India. After her journey Rada had been so much impressed by Indian nature and the greatness of the mountains that it led her to make this series of symbolic landscapes.
During the inauguration of her exhibition at the Roerich Trust she said: “I think India is the country which always makes an artist to feel inspired. Ancient culture and great history, bright colors and smiles of people, all this fills my heart with endless happiness and helps me to create new works of art.”
All paintings of the series are made in mixed media (oil on hand-made cardboard). This unique technique makes the image and colors look deep and three-dimensional.
