'SPIRIT OF COLORS' - PAINTING EXHIBITION OF ROSEMARIE GORKE AT THE MODERN ART EXHIBITION HALL (05.07.2009 — 24.07.2009)

Rosemarie Gorke, artist from Germany

5th July, Sunday came, and brought again festive mood to the Roerich Trust with inauguration of the new exhibition of the Artist from Germany, Rosemarie Gorke.
'Spirit of Colors' - is the title of the exhibition that displays beautiful paintings depicting favorite places of the painter - Himalaya mountains, its summits clad in sparkling silvery snow, peaceful hills reflected in the mountain lakes, temples of Himachal and its people. Students of the Art College had another great opportunity to see the new technique of working with acrylic colors.

While contemplating the paintings created by Rosemarie Gorke, words of Nicholas Roerich from his book  Heart of Asia' resound in the heart:

"Where can one have such a joy, as when the sun is upon the Himalayas, when the blue is more intense than sapphires, then from the far distance the glaciers glitter as incomparable gems. All religions, all teachings are synthesized in the Himalayas".
