Exhibition of paintings by the children from
‘Ekho Art Studio’,
Saint-Petersburg, Russia
Exhibition held from 21.11.2004 till 15.10.2005 in the building of the Urusvati Himalayan Research Institute.
“Art lovers are enchanted by paintings of the children from Saint Petersburg.
World famous place of Nicholas Roerich at Naggar became attraction for tourists and art lovers. The painting exhibition of the children from Russia , Saint Petersburg Art Studio is being displayed in the Urusvati building of the International Roerich Memorial Trust. 25paintings are being exhibited, executed by children 6 to 18 years old.
‘Ekho’ Art Studio children have been displaying their paintings in many cities of Asia, America, Australia.
Founder of this Studio, Mr Vitali Tsiliakus told in the IRMT, that their school started in 1992, and 40 people including children are participating in it’s work. Children come to the Studio three times in a week. Besides the painting technique, they are being taught art and culture of different countries, their legends and myths.
Mr Vitali Tsiliakus said this exhibition was specially brought to Naggar as a tribute to the Roerich family.”
