On 28th September another painting exhibition had been inaugurated at the Modern Art Exhibition Hall of the IRMT.
Sh.S.K.Shinde, a well known Veteran Artist, painter from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh presented his ‘Exhibition of Landscapes’.
Born of 7th September 1932, Sh.S.K.Shinde is an artist who is not only rich in experience but had also mastered several genres of art. He has learnt art of painting from the old master D.D.Deolalikar of Madhya Pradesh. After having completed his Diploma course G.D.Arts from Sir J.J.School of Arts Bombay, he also learnt the techniques of Fresco painting and mural art.
Shinde has won several awards and has had numerous solo as well as join exhibitions since 1961. he was thrice awarded at the All India Kalidas Exhibition, honored by Bombay Art Society and AIFACS Delhi, this septuagenarian artist is one of those artists in India who are capable of working in any medium and any genre. His creative genius has used its brush on composition, portraits, murals and finally, for the last thirty years is doing landscapes in the Himalayan ranges as well as plains. This exhibition confines to his works executed in Himachal Pradesh.
