Vinitha Anand on the background of her paintings |
On 27th May the Trust was busy again, preparing for the inauguration of a new exhibition brought by a painter from the southern city of Kerala state, Trivandrum. Smt Vinitha Anand presented extremely interesting exhibition. In the morning the exhibition was visited by the Chief Secretary of Kerala, Smt L.Jackob and her family. They highly appreciated the paintings of Vinitha Anand and also visited other places at the Trust.
Later on, the exhibition was inaugurated by Dr Rita Singh, poetess from Kullu, and she also said welcoming words to the painter and all guests of the exhibition.
Vinitha Anand then explained how she creates the paintings, what is the philosophy behind her art. She is using different media –pastels, acrylic and water colors to achieve her goal.
The title of her exhibition is ‘TAL’ – which means – the rhythm. As Vinitha Anand said, all her paintings are created in feeling of rhythm – the underlying essence of this Universe. Feeling of this cosmic sound and expression of emotions of heart and soul at the particular moment – this is what constitutes the essence of her paintings.
The students of the Art College were listening carefully – today they were able to see yet another style of painting. Soft flute music added to the overall atmosphere of worship of Beauty, Harmony and Creativity.
Later, the painter Vinitha Anand and Dr Rita Singh inaugurated the IRMT Touch Screen – material for it was prepared by the young engineer from Estonia, member of Estonian Roerich Society, Mr Sergey Yakovlev and the Executive Director of the Trust, Dr Alena Adamkova. It is a very important addition to the work of the Trust, because the visitors can see in photos and brief writings all development of the Trust, history of the Estate, they can view photos of all members of the Roerich family, read their biography, be acquainted with their works, and what is even more exciting, to see the documentary films shot by the Roerich’s coworkers in 1928 and 29. One stands at the contemporary Exhibition hall at the Trust buzzing with various activities, and suddenly Nicholas Roerich himself looks from the screen – comes out of his Studio, which is the entry to the Art Gallery now – and here, the history and today merges and we are able to perceive more deeply the great feat of the people who fully dedicated themselves for the betterment of the world, created that environment which gives opportunity to all of us to come and share their world till now…
