May 2011 was verily rich on cultural events at the Roerich Trust. Every Sunday of May visitors and students of the Art College came together to witness an inauguration of yet another painting exhibition. “Creationscapes” is the title of the solo show put up by the New Delhi artist Veena Harrison who is currently working as the Principal of ‘John Wesley Public School’ (of Christ Methodist Church, Delhi) at Naggar.
Veena Harrison lives in Naggar for almost 4 years – as she says, the natural beauty of Naggar and other places of Kullu Valley inspire her to create:
“ ‘Creationscapes’ – this exhibition of my paintings is dedicated to God Almighty, the master creator of this beautiful and magnificent universe. I am always in awe when I look at His art work and it does inspire me to paint…”
“The heavens declare the glory of God;
The skies proclaim the work of His hands” [Psalm 19:1]
The exhibition is being held at the Modern Art Exhibition Hall of the Trust till 3rd June 2011.
